ARU pays tribute to former Wallaby Doctor, Dr. John Moulton OAM

Australian Rugby Union is mourning the loss of former Wallabies team doctor, Dr. John Egan Moulton OAM, who passed away last Friday aged 82.
The former Newington College graduate, and Australian Rugby Life Member was the Wallabies team doctor during the sides historic 1986 Bledisloe Cup win in New Zealand, the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987 and Australia’s maiden Rugby World Cup victory in 1991.
ARU Managing Director and CEO, John O’Neill AO, today paid tribute to Dr. Moulton.
“Doctor John Moulton was an outstanding man in every respect,” Mr O’Neill said.
“He had tremendous dedication as a doctor of medicine and was the most endearing and enduring fan of the game of Rugby.
“Doctor Moulton was blessed with incredible humility and was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
“He will be truly missed.
“On behalf of Australian Rugby I pass on our deepest sympathies to his brother William, his three children Deborah, James and Susan, his five grandchildren and all of his family and friends.”
Dr. John Egan Moulton OAM will be remember at a Memorial Service tomorrow, Friday 28 September in Southport on the Gold Coast. A second service will be held at Newington College in Sydney in the near future.
