Australian Rugby Union today revealed Allen Gray as the inaugural Qantas Wallabies ‘Ultimate Fan’ after he successfully accumulated the most points in the Qantas Wallabies 2012 ‘Rugby Rewards’ Facebook application.

As the ‘Ultimate Fan’ Mr Gray, who hails from Victoria, has won an experience of a lifetime and will be presented with his very own hand-crafted medal at Rugby’s prestigious John Eales Medal evening on Thursday 1 November.

The new look 2012 ‘Rugby Rewards’ application allowed fans to compete against one another to win a spot on the Qantas Wallabies ‘Ultimate Team’.

The Rugby Rewards ‘Ultimate Team’, like the ‘Ultimate Fan’, was chosen based on the amount of points they had gained at the conclusion of this year’s 2012 domestic Test season.

Points could be accumulated by talking about and watching Rugby content across Facebook and Twitter and attending any of The Castrol EDGE Test matches this year.

Run via the Qantas Wallabies Facebook page, fans were able to track their points tally through their own Facebook page and monitor where they sat amongst other fans.

Fans were also given the chance to gain exclusive access to a range of public and tiered rewards across the 2012 domestic Test season.

Tiered rewards were offered to fans based on their level of interaction with the Qantas Wallabies and their Official Partners across Facebook and Twitter.

Public rewards were offered to all fans across the Test season and included offers from partners Sportscraft, KooGa, Le Coq Sportif and WallabyShop.com.au.

Mr Gray is amongst fourteen other fans that accumulated the most points from the ‘Rugby Rewards’ application over the course of 2012 and will lead the Qantas Wallabies Rugby Rewards ‘Ultimate Team’.

The ‘Ultimate Team’ will get to rub shoulders with the Qantas Wallabies squad during their upcoming training camp ahead of taking off for their Spring Tour to Europe.

Members of the ‘Ultimate Team’ will also receive a night at the Crowne Plaza, Sportscraft and Blackberry products, Le Coq Sportif footwear and a ‘Rugby Rewards’ Team photo.

The team also get their very own unique team kit with a one-off Qantas Wallabies jersey courtesy of KooGa and The Wallaby Shop.

The 2012 Rugby Rewards ‘Ultimate Team’ are:
