QR Queensland Reds utility Julian Huxley is heading to the CA Brumbies for the 2007 Super 14.

Huxley has signed a two-year deal to continue his career in the nation's capital, after reportedly being told by new Reds coach and former Wallabies boss Eddie Jones earlier this week that he wanted him to play fullback.

Knowing that a fit Chris Latham is the first choice No.15 for the Reds, Huxley decided to further his career in Canberra, where it is believed he hopes to play at either fullback or inside centre.

Huxley's announcement follows the earlier departure of Drew Mitchell to the Western Force and, with chief executive Theo Psaros also moving on in July, Latham says he is disappointed with the loss of his teammates.

"Especially now that we don't have Elton Flatley available for us, you know, Hux has the ability to play in a number of positions and has played quite well this season, and obviously losing Drew Mitchell, he's a versatile player that will be missed," Latham told ABC Sport.

The Brumbies have actively chased Huxley following the dparture of star cnetre Matt Giteau to the Western Force and back-up Number 12 Jole Wilson to overseas commitments.
