Twenty Questions with Qantas Wallabies prop Benn Cat Robinson

Story by: ARU
He was the fan’s Man of the Match in the record loss in Johannesburg and he never stopped trying in a gutsy, 80 minute effort. The pugnacious loose-head has never shirked a challenge on the Rugby field and in his short career he’s had plenty of them.
He represented Australian Schoolboys in 2002 against the toughest of opponents at that level, New Zealand Schoolboys, before representing the NSW Under 19s team in 2003. He made his senior debut for NSW at the end of 2004, again in the toughest cauldron possible for a prop, against Salta in Argentina.
In 2005 he played in every minute of every game for the Australian Under 21s at the U21 World Cup and in 2006 he made his Super 14 debut as a replacement in the opening week of the competition. He ended up playing in all 14 games for the Tahs before being included as the youngest member of the Wallabies squad for the Domestic Series and Tri Nations. His Test debut came once more in the most intimidating of circumstances, in the starting line-up against South Africa at Coca-Cola (formerly Ellis) Park.
In 2007 he again played all 13 Super 14 matches for the Waratahs, starting at loosehead prop in 11 games, and he made three appearances for the Wallabies before surprisingly missing the cut for the Rugby World Cup in France. But he’s back in 2008 having his best season yet, both for the Tahs and for the Wallabies, fighting off his NSW team mates Matt Dunning and Al Baxter to start every Test to date this year for the Men of Gold.
