The Rebels were the only Aussie winners on a big weekend of Super Rugby.
Melbourne had a comfortable win over the Reds in Queensland while the Waratahs were stunned by the continually improving Sunwolves.
Who stood out for the Aussie teams in round seven?
1. Tetera Faulkner
The Rebels had a big assignment in Brisbane when it came to scrummaging and the visitors took it in their stride. Faulkner and his front row teammates had a big part in laying the platform for the rest of the night.
2. Anaru Rangi
Rangi had plenty of involvements on Saturday night as part of a strong pack. Scored a try and was a menace in defence as well.
3. Sam Talakai
Talakai goes under the radar somewhat but he had another ultra-consistent performance against the Reds. The former Queensland prop helped get the better of the Reds in the Rebels' big win.
4. Adam Coleman
Coleman set the tone for his side with his aggression in Brisbane, a return to some of his trademark rugby. The Rebels' set piece was solid and as their lineout caller, Coleman is a key part of that.
5. Matt Philip
There is a lot of competition for Wallabies second row spots but Philip will be right in the conversation after another strong game. His partnership with Coleman is growing each week and adding Luke Jones to the mix has only made them look more intimidating.
6. Luke Jones
Luke Jones did no harm to his Test chances with another impressive performance for the Rebels. Shining at six, in combination with second rowers Colemand and Philip, and made it through a mountain of work.
7. Michael Hooper
If anyone deserves a Wallabies-enforced rest, it's Hooper. The Wallabies captain put in an immense shift on a night where so many things just went wrong for NSW and though it wasn't quite enough to take a win, it underlines his importance to the team. Scored a try, helped create their first of the night from a lineout and finished with 19 tackles and a turnover.
8. Isi Naisarani
Naisarani is edging closer to a Wallabies jersey with every game he plays. The no. 8 was sensational with 13 carries and a lazy nine tackles in defence.
9. Will Genia
His night might have ended in hospital after an insect sting but Genia was one of the Rebels' best during the 80 minutes. His quick recycles continually put the Rebels on the front foot in attack and that was key to them taking a win.
10. Quade Cooper
Cooper had one of his best games of the season on his return to Brisbane. The Rebels' super-flat attack caught Queensland off guard and kept them rolling with momentum. Showed he still has his X-factor with a soccer assist for Jack Maddocks.
11. Marika Koroibete
Though Koroibete didn't nab a try at Suncorp, he still had an impact on the contest. Mightn't have had the finish he wanted but still plays an important role in their structures.
12. Billy Meakes
Meakes has barely missed a beat this season and was again a solid contributor for Melbourne. The centre is a critical link man in their backline and managed seven tackles and a turnover without the ball as well.
13. Samu Kerevi
It was a tough night for the Reds in Brisbane but Kerevi did what he could to make an impact. The skipper was solid in defence, making seven tackles against the Rebels, but didn't have the opportunities in attack he might normally like.
14. Jack Maddocks
Maddocks is quickly becoming one of the form backs in Super Rugby and he had another sensational outing in Brisbane. A double against the Reds took his season tally to eight tries and put him on top of the competition's scoring list.
15. Israel Folau
While the Waratahs clearly didn't fire on Friday night, Folau looked threatening when he had the ball in hand. The NSW fullback made 106 metres from 14 carries in Newcastle.
