David Pocock has been cleared to return from a concussion for the Brumbies against the Hurricanes in one of four changes to their starting side.

Pocock will be at openside flanker in a starting backrow that will also include Pete Samu for the first time after the former Crusader came off the bench in the first two weeks.

The no. 7 sat out the Brumbies' 54-17 win over the Chiefs with a concussion that ended his first round outing after just six minutes.

Blake Enever replaces Sam Carter in the second row for the Palmerston North match, teaming up with Rory Arnold and bringing rookie Darcy Swain onto the pine.

Wallabies prop Scott Sio will make his first start of 2019, pushing James Slipper to the bench for the clash.

The Brumbies backline remains unchanged after a scintillating performance against the Chiefs in Canberra.

A win over the Hurricanes would be their first in New Zealand since 2014.

It won't be an easy task for the Brumbies with the Hurricanes welcoming back Beauden Barrett at 10, along with flanker Ardie Savea and Vaea Fifita.

Jordie Barrett is being rested for the match.

The Brumbies take on the Hurricanes in Palmerston North on Friday March 1, kicking off at 5:35pm AEDT, LIVE on FOX SPORTS and via RUGBY.com.au RADIO.
