Be part of history on 28th April as the 2024 Buildcorp Super Rugby Women's Grand Final takes centre stage! Witness the battle for ultimate glory as the NSW Waratahs take on Fijian Drua. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match at Ballymore.

Venue: Ballymore, Herston

Date & Time: Sunday 28 April 2024 | Kick-off: 2:00pm

Gates Open: Gate 1 opens at 1:00pm. Ticketholders are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to kick off to ensure smooth entry to the ground.

Box Offices Open: 12:30pm

The McLean Stand is fully reserved seating. General admission tickets will permit access to the Hill or Eastern Seating (not undercover).

Please note, Ballymore is a CASHLESS venue if you intend to buy tickets at the box office on match day.

GETTING TO THE GAME

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Visit the Translink website to plan your journey.

There are a number of regular timetabled services that stop at Ballymore Stadium. The routes to catch are:

  • 360, City, Queen St
  • 361, City, Queen St
  • 363, Kelvin Grove, Herston Rd
  • 364, Kelvin Grove Campus
  • 748, Nerang Station

Ballymore is also just a short walk away from QUT Kelvin Grove bus stations (0.9km), Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital (1.4km) and Wilston Train Station (1.5km).

TAXI/RIDESHARE

For event goers travelling by taxi or rideshare, a drop-off and pick-up zone will be located on Butterfield St, near Ballymore Stadium.  

PARKING

There will be no onsite parking on event days and parking restrictions will apply in the local area surrounding the stadium. Queensland University of Technology have offered $5.00 all-day parking at the Sports Lane Car Park at QUT Kelvin Grove.  

Onsite disabled parking will be available for patrons who are displaying their disability parking permit. Please show your permit to security to gain access.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE AT BALLYMORE

Ballymore will be well serviced by a number of cashless food and beverage options at several locations around the precinct.

Patrons are generally not permitted to bring food or beverage products purchased at commercial outlets into the Stadium (EG McDonalds, KFC, pizza). Decisions about whether such products will be permitted are at the discretion of Queensland Rugby Union.

COMMUNITY ACTIVATIONS

From 12.45 pm, a girls-only Get into Rugby Clinic will be running on Ballymore Field 2. The clinic which will be capped at 100 participants, is open to girls aged 5 -12 years.

Spots are filling up fast, so be sure to register your interest before it is too late.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY & PROHIBITED ITEMS

Please refer to the Ballymore Stadium Conditions of Entry for more information prior to heading to Sunday’s match.

  • Items which, in the opinion of Queensland Rugby Union, have the potential to cause injury or a nuisance or inconvenience to any other person will not be permitted into the Stadium. These include controlled, dangerous or illegal substances, cans, bottles, flares, fireworks, laser pointers, loud hailers and weapons of any description and may include certain musical instruments, flags and flagpoles and any other items considered by Queensland Rugby Union to have the potential to cause injury or a nuisance or inconvenience to any other person.
  • Eskies, collapsible strollers, pushers, bags and other belongings must be able to fit under the patron’s seat. Bag sizes must not be larger than an A4 piece of paper.
  • Cameras (including digital cameras), audio and video recorders may only be brought into the Stadium at the discretion of Queensland Rugby Union. This does not apply to mobile phones.
  • Umbrellas are permitted in the Stadium but must not be opened or raised in the seating areas or concourses at any time.
