Feao Fotuaika was born in Gibson, New Zealand, but travelled to Australia for his schooling career, playing at St Francis College, where he went on to represent Australia Schoolboys. After playing for both Brisbane City and Queensland Country in the National Rugby Championship, he built a solid reputation the Queensland Reds couldn’t ignore. In 2019, he joined their club, making his debut against the Highlanders, scoring a five-pointer in the match to kick off his career. After a stellar 2022 season for the Reds, he was called into the Tonga squad for the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup in 2022 and the World Cup warm up matches. In 2023, Fotuaika made the move over to France playing for Lyon, where he remained until the Brumbies offered an opportunity to return to home soil for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific campaign.
