The Wallabies unveiled their 2016 jersey on Wednesday morning, ahead of next month's June Series.

This new kit, to be worn for the first time against England, is not too dissimilar to the 2015 incarnation, with white piping.

Probably the major difference in this year's jersey is the Southern Cross has shifted off the front of the jersey to the patch on the right arm.

Wallabies Kurtley Beale, Israel Folau, Rob Horne, Nick Phipps and Bernard Foley were on hand to launch the new uniform.

Rugby jersey evolutionFolau said he felt some history in the jersey, which is a fairly simple design not far removed from many of the jerseys of years past.

“I love the new jersey. It fits well, the material feels great and I’m impressed with the new cut," he said.

"The colours and style are also a throwback to jerseys from the past...I think everyone is going to love it.

“The theme of this year’s TV campaign ‘Want it More’ is perfect for our squad..

"We know that as a playing group, the harder we work both as individuals and as a team the more we can achieve.”

The Wallabies season kicks off on June 11 against England at Suncorp Stadium.
