A Barrett triple treat headlines the All Blacks squad that will face the Lions, with Jordie joining brothers Beauden and Scott on Steve Hansen's 33-man roster.

Hansen tipped his hand when Jordie wasn't selected for the New Zealand U20s side currently playing in Georgia and given his scintillating form, this nod comes as little surprise.

Being picked in the squad and earning a spot in the 23 is an entirely different matter, though, as he will be competing with Ben Smith for the starting fullback gig and has plenty of competition from boht inside and outside backs for a spot on the bench.

He has been named in the centres alongside Ryan Crotty, Anton Leinert-Brown and Sonny Bill Williams.

Damian McKenzie hasn't been named and neither have Steven Luatau and Malakai Fekitoa.Ngani Laumape has plenty of competition for a spot in the centres.
