Scott Sio will make his first start of 2018 on Friday, named in the Brumbies starting XV that will take on the Rebels.
Sio missed ACT's first two starts through a calf injury but has overcome the niggle, named in a new look forward pack for coach Dan McKellar.
The Brumbies were mauled up front by the Reds in their loss at Suncorp Stadium and McKellar has responded by bringing in Sio and Lolo Fakaosilea at openside flanker, with Tom Cusack relegated to the bench.
It is an otherwise unchanged starting XV that will face Melbourne but there are more changes on the bench, with Folau Faingaa named for a possible Super Rugby debut ahead of Robbie Abel and Faalelei Sione getting the nod ahead of Nic Mayhew.
Richie Arnold has also been recalled to the 23 in place of Blake Enever.
