Hulking prop, Taniela Tupou insists his hamstring is on the mend, hopeful of a first appearance in this year's TRC against South Africa. He and Lukhan Tui were at Norths Rugby in Brisbane ahead of a week-long Wallabies camp in Queensland.

Michael Cheika has recalled recent Wallabies debutants Caleb Timu and Brandon Paenga-Amosa to his 31-man squad for Tests against South Africa and Argentina.

Paenga-Amosa was a peculiar omission from the squad which travelled across the Tasman to face the All Blacks in the second Bledisloe Cup Test, Folau Faingaa earning his first cap off the pine in place of Tolu Latu.

The rookie Reds hooker will play for Brisbane City on Sunday afternoon and head straight to Wallabies camp afterwards but Timu is already on his way to the Gold Coast having starred for Queensland Country in their win over Canberra at Viking Park on Saturday.Caleb Timu has been recalled. Israel Folau (ankle) and Taniela Tupou (hamstring) have both been named but the pair will be racing the clock to prove their fitness in time for Saturday's clash with the Springboks.

The Wallabies take on the Springboks in Brisbane on Saturday September 8, kicking off at 8pm AEST, LIVE on FOX SPORTS, Channel Ten and via RUGBY.com.au RADIO. Buy tickets here.
