NSW NRC teams are about to butt heads in Wednesday nights rescheduled Round one clash at Leichhardt Oval. Both sides have struggled to gain points on the ladder, but come tomorrow night that's all about to change.

A quartet of Wallabies will return to the NRC for a Sydney-Country derby at Leichhardt Oval on Wednesday night.

NSW Country will have Ned Hanigan, Tolu Latu and Tom Robertson in their side for the mid-week clash, with the trio released by the Wallabies.

Tighthead Sekope Kepu was also in the mix for a Country outing but his inclusion will depend on the looming arrival of his fourth child.

Lock Rob Simmons will have another chance to play for the Rays after a false start almost two weeks ago when he was named to play but called up to the Wallabies squad in Brisbane at the last minute.

It's a match Country flanker and Berry product Will Miller rates as one of the most important of the year outside of Super Rugby.

"I think it's one of the biggest games of the year," he said.

"Outside of finals, it's a rivalry and something big that's a huge opportunity to give it to the City boys so all the Country boys should be excited."

Rays centre Curtis Rona said there had been plenty of barbs between the Waratahs contingent ahead of the game

"It's going to be a massive occasion for us because all the boys are really pumped because we're versing each other," he said.

"We've trained with each other all year and there's a bit of banter going on in the gym in the weights room, so we're looking forward to it.

There's not many texts (going around), there's just a lot of shouting. It's good - gets us motivated to play each other and test our skills."

The Rays host NSW Country on Wednesday night, kicking off at 7:30pm AEST at Leichhardt Oval, LIVE on FOX SPORTS.
