Heading into his 10th season with the Plus500 Brumbies, Wallabies prop Scott Sio says the preseasons never get any easier, but with only a short time to go until the side's 2021 Super Rugby AU campaign, the veteran is excited for the challenges ahead.

The Brumbies finished 2020 with the inaugural Super Rugby AU crown, Sio's tandem with fellow Test prop James Slipper one of the main factors in the side's success.

Sio's transition back into training was scuppered by a stint in quarantine, but the Brumbies 'Big Dog' wasn't caged for long, and is now ready for the new season.

“I think a lot of teams will have to deal with similar problems, so we’ve just got to adapt and adjust as best we can,” Sio said.

“I feel like we’ve done that, and they’ve [his teammates] have integrated us well in the last week back into training, so hopefully we can amp things up a bit this week for a lot of us that were stuck in quarantine the last few days.”

“Trying to condense everything into a four or five-week block is the norm nowadays, and it seems to be going well for the Brumbies at the moment.”
