Rugby Australia has today confirmed it's referees for the 2021 Super Rugby AU season.

Super Rugby AU regulars, Nic Berry, Damon Murphy, Amy Perrett, Jordan Way, and Graham Cooper will all take to the field for Super Rugby AU's opening round. While program stalwart, Angus Gardner recovers from injury.

Former Aussie 7s player turned International referee, Damon Murphy will kick off proceedings on Friday night when the Reds take on the Waratahs, flanked by close teammates Nic Berry and Jordan Way on the sidelines.

Across in Perth, Graham Cooper will control the Force's opening clash against the Brumbies as they return to Perth for the first time since 2017.

Cooper will be accompanied by a team of local assistants in-line with Western Australia’s current department of health requirements.

Rugby Australia's National Referee Manager, Scott Young said: "The team has been working hard over the break and are ready to hit the ground running this weekend.

"The new law variations will see the game will become a lot faster, rewarding attacking Rugby and our team will play a key part along with players and coaches to make this happen.

"Like 2020, it is difficult to manage the situation with borders, and we learnt a lot during last year’s competition on how to work within these parameters.

“We have confidence in our officials to perform to the best of their abilities, and are looking forward to the season kicking off this weekend,” Young said.
