With the Premiership and URC club competitions taking a back seat for Six Nations, all eyes were on Australia's Japanese and French exports.

The Land of the Rising Sun saw two stellar showings from Wallaby duo Will Genia and Samu Kerevi while the never-ending Top 14 and ProD2 delivered a few interesting tidbits.

Japan

Test centurion Will Genia showed glimpses of his 2010s pomp in League One's Second Division, spearheading a 39-12 win for Kintetsu Liners.

The 2011 Reds champion bagged a brace of tries to go with two turnovers and a line break against Kyushudenryoku KyudenVoltex, whose blushes were spared by Super Rugby centurion Colby Fainga'a's two-try haul.

Meanwhile Samu Kerevi was back to his barnstorming best for Urayasu D-Rocks against former club Suntory Sungoliath.

Despite going down 40-35, Kerevi was immense with ball in hand for the D-Rocks, racking two tries, 12 tackle busts and five line breaks.

France

There were plenty of Aussie match-ups in last week's Top 14 with Wallaby pack mates Will Skelton and Feleti Kaitu'u going toe-to-toe, Kaitu'u's Racing 92 emerging surprise 26-21 victors on the road against La Rochelle.

Meanwhile Wallaby hooker Folau Fainga'a's try-scoring streak for Clermont continued but Test teammates Lachie Swinton and Pete Samu had the last laugh with Samu's pair of turnovers influential in a 22-18 win for Bordeaux.

In the ProD2, Colomiers backrower Caleb Timu ran riot with two line breaks, 17 tackles, a turnover and a try while Izack Rodda found the chalk for Provence.
