Australia has sent a message to their competition at Perth SVNS with a 40-5 demolition of third-ranked France.
The demolition victory came a month after the French defeated the Aussies in the bronze medal match in Cape Town.

New Zealand took the field earlier in the day and delivered a 53-5 crushing of Japan.
Tim Walsh’s side was intent on sending a message as Maddison Levi crossed for a trademark hat-trick.
It started in the opening seconds when she combined with sister Teagan to score.
France hit back through Anne-Cecile Ciofani but the 22-year-old burnt Ciofani for the response.
Faith Nathan got a double before the break to put the game well out of reach at half-time at 26-5.
Levi stayed on the field to complete the hat-trick, set up by Mackenzie Davis’ great hit.
With Walsh rotating his side, Teagan Levi capped off the win as she sprinted away following Heidi Dennis’ excellent kick chase.
For the older Levi, the hat-trick and win means even more after last year's red-card against New Zealand left her a spectator for the majority of the event.
"I think discipline is something huge that we've been working on," she reflects.
"For me, playing more than six minutes was my goal and I think it's awesome to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the Australian atmosphere.
"We've started well with the three wins but we're now onto the next and taking it game-by-game."
The win ensures the Australians will face Japan in the quarter-finals, with a potential semi-final date with Canada or Brazil.
