Charlotte Caslick finished with a double as one of six different scores as the Aussies secured top spot in Pool C in hot and humid conditions.

The win sets up a quarter-final date with France later today (6:16 pm AEDT), with coach Tim Walsh still hunting for improvements after a few lapses in attack and defence.
“It’s much better when you get a scoreline like that and then little bits of desire and effort, which is what we hang our hats on. That was better, we just need to clean up the little errors," Walsh said.
“We are (constantly improving). Last night was wet, we adapted well then and today is stifling, beautiful Aussie summer's day and we played well.
“Hopefully the snowball is building and we can save the best for last.”
The Australians looked to put on a show for the crowd early on, with Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea’s offload to Charlotte Caslick setting up a dominant period.
60 seconds later, Faith Nathan ran 70 metres to score untouched before the speedster turned provider to set up Lefau-Fakaosilea for a quick 19-0 lead.
Some great cover defence from Bienne Terita stopped a brief period of Irish dominance, allowing Maddison Levi to score her fifth of the event.
This opened the floodgates as Caslick floated over for her second, followed by some individual efforts from Teagan Levi and Sariah Paki.
"The first game is always a bit of blowout...being at home with the heat and all our nerves high, we were really looking to take it forward today," co-captain Demi Hayes added.
"You can feel the heat and the crowd out there which is awesome. It helps get us through the hotness."
