A great chip and chase from Hayden Sargeant extended Australia’s lead, with Nathan Lawson securing the win with just under 90 seconds to go
Australia are SVNS champions after a fierce 26-7 win over France.
It was a tense opening half as Faith Nathan got the Aussies on the board first before the French hit back before the break.
However, the game opened up in the second half for the Australians as they ran away with it thanks to a Maddison Levi hat-trick.
Levi scored three within the space of four minutes to seal the victory and the overall title for the Aussies, their first piece of silverware for the season.
