The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies welcome David Feliuai to the Nation's Capital after the outside back inked a deal for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific Season.

Feliuai, who primarily plays at inside centre, first made his Super Rugby Pacific debut last year for the Melbourne Rebels in a 34-27 victory against the NSW Waratahs.

Known for his strong ball carries and offloading ability, he would go on to make 12 appearances for the Rebels in the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific Season. His breakout performances this year rewarded with selection for the Wallabies squad who faced Wales and Georgia earlier this month.

Rising through the Queensland Premier Rugby competition with Sunnybank Dragons, Feliuai signed a deal to join Romanian club Baia Mare in 2019, where he had a three-year stint before making his way back to Australia.

The outside back, who has enjoyed an unorthodox journey to Wallabies selection in 2024, also included taking part in a National Football League (NFL) International Combine on the Gold Coast earlier in his career. Before signing on with the Melbourne Rebels where he has accumulated 19 Super Rugby Pacific caps to date.

Feliuai says he’s excited for the next stage in his career and looks forward to making the shift to Canberra.

“I'm really grateful for the opportunity to join the Brumbies and can't wait to meet the players and staff,” said Feliuai.

"I feel very privileged to be in this position to join a Club with a proud rugby history. I'm happy to be making the move to Canberra."

Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies Head Coach, Stephen Larkham, is excited to welcome onboard the promising outside back to the Club.

“It is great to have someone of David's calibre joining the Brumbies for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season,” Larkham said.

“He had a very good year with the Melbourne Rebels, where he was rewarded with his first Wallabies squad selection in June.”

“David has great foot work and spatial awareness, with the added ability to break tackles in contact. We look forward to him joining us for the 2025 season,” said Larkham.
