A dominant Samu Kerevi scored a first half hat-trick as Australia's men's team opened their Birmingham Commonwealth Games campaign with a 62-0 thumping of Jamaica.
The Aussies ran in 10 tries as Kerevi ran amok to send an early statement the green and golds were keen to make good after leaving the Gold Coast Games four years ago without a medal.

It took all of 11 seconds for Kerevi to leave his mark on the competition, tip-toeing down the sideline for the opening try of the contest.
It was quickly becoming clear why coach John Manenti was so keen to bring the Wallabies star back into the sevens fold as he toyed with the hapless Jamaicans, the hulking back producing deft offloads for Nathan Lawson and Corey Toole to extend Australia's lead.
He then did it all himself to complete his first half hat-trick, the second half little more than a training run as the Australians ran in another five tries for a comfortable win.
Earlier, Australia's women's team were just as impressive in running out 38-0 winners over South Africa.
Captain Charlotte Caslick and Maddison Levi both crossed for doubles, with Faith Nathan and Madison Ashby also grabbing five-pointers.
Both teams will be back in action later on Friday, the women taking on Scotland and the men up against Uganda.
