Alex Davis reduced the margin after the break, forcing the Australians to work in defence.

The Australians refused to give up and Maurice Longbottom sparked them into life, before a great intercept from Josh Turner allowed James Turner to put Australia in front 12-7.
Akuila Rokolisoa sparked the Hamilton crowd into life to put the Kiwis in front, however, Longbottom once again found space, breaking through as he found Henry Paterson under the posts.
The Kiwis had an instant response as Roderick Solo ran 80 metres to score under the posts.
Trae Williams almost had the winner, latching onto a Dietrich Roache kick but couldn't hang as the New Zealanders secured the win.

Krissy Scrufield levelled the scores up for Canada before Levi made up for her missed tackle with her second to put the Aussies up 14-7 at the break.
Bienne Terita continues her good form, latching onto a long ball from Caslick to extend the lead.
Caslick then set up Hinds for their fourth try, who shrugged off a knock during the Japan win to dive over the line.
Demi Hayes sealed the victory as the Australians went the length of the field via a Teagan Levi break

Two early yellow cards to France allowed Australia to strike as Maddison Levi opened the scoring for the second straight game, adding her second a minute later.
Faith Nathan streaked away shortly afterwards, with France reduced to six for the rest of the game after a high tackle from Camille Grassineau.
Alysia Lefau-Fakaosilea finished the perfect half with a try of her own to extend the lead to 24-0 at the break
Levi completed the hat-trick after the break as France continued to struggle with discipline, allowing Sharni Williams to run 100 metres to score.

Dietrich Roache crossed to open the scoring, taking advantage of a Dally Bird pilfer.
A great ball from Henry Paterson set up Roache's second, followed over by James Turner as the Aussies took a 19-0 lead into the break.
Roache finished off the hat-trick shortly after the start of the second half before Paterson crossed for one of his own.
Paterson proceeded to burst away for his second to round out the positive days for the Australians

In a tense opening half, Great Britain looked to pepper the Australian line, only for their defence to hold strong.
This allowed Charlotte Caslick to strike, bursting through the gap to open the scoring.
Some great work in defence and attack from Madison Ashby created the second try, followed over by Maddison Levi to extend the lead to 19-0 at the break.
Another break from Caslick set up Sariah Paki to start the second half, before the World Rugby Player of the Year crossed for her second.

The Americans started strong as Malacchi Esdale burst away for the opening try, followed over by Steve Tomasin as they look a quick 14-0 lead.
Dietrich Roache had the perfect answer, put through a hole by James Turner, however, David Still had an answer straight from the kickoff to restore the 14 point lead.
Roache's second got the Aussies back into the contest. In the end, the pace of Perry Baker proved too much as the USA secured the win.

Two late tries to Fiji set up a grandstand finish, with Dally Bird securing the crucial restart to book their spot in the fifth place final against Ireland

Terry Kennedy showed his class to score in the corner for the Irish, before Patterson's second restored the lead.
