Despite spending 75 minutes down a man, the Wallabies refused to give up and eventually sealed the 33-30 win and the series over France.
With attention turning to the impending Bledisloe clash on August 7, they have received a major boost as Koroibete's red card was upheld by a SANZAAR Judiciary.
“The player Marika Koroibete admitted to technically committing an act of foul play worthy of a red card. Having reviewed all the evidence, the committee deemed that Marika Koroibete’s tackle on French loose-forward Anthony Jelonch initially made shoulder to shoulder contact," the statement read.
“Subsequently, through the impact, any contact to the chest and neck was incidental by Koroibete.
"Therefore, World Rugby’s Head Contact Process was not met due to mitigating factors, and the act of the foul play was secondary.
"On that basis, the committee did not uphold the red card and the player is free to play again immediately.
The incident raised the ire of Wallabies coach Dave Rennie after the match despite the winning, accusing the French skipper of taking a dive.
It was terribly milked wasn't it," he said.
"He obviously feels he's got some head contact then he's grabbed his face, which is nowhere near the point of impact and it's delayed by five seconds.
"...The issue for us is do we get to the stage we're telling our players to lie on the ground like the French did every time they're any head contact.
"I don't think it's in the spirit of the game."
