The NSW Waratahs Women will wear pink jerseys this International Women’s Day on March 8, during their Round 2 Super Rugby Women’s clash against the Western Force, to raise awareness and funds for platinum partner, Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation.

This initiative, funded by Principal Partner Knight Frank, will see these limited-edition match-worn jerseys auctioned, with all proceeds going to the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation.

Last year, a similar campaign raised over $17,000 for the Foundation, with monies contributing towards a new Trident Faxitron machine, an important piece of equipment for surgical service.

Knight Frank Chief Executive Officer James Patterson said the firm was proud to support the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation in partnership with the NSW Waratahs Women on International Women’s Day.

“We are honoured to have the opportunity to get behind this very important cause and help to raise funds and awareness for a disease that affects one in seven Australian women,” Patterson said.

“Knight Frank is passionate about supporting women everywhere including in the community, on the field and in the workplace.

“We are looking forward to barracking for our valued partner the Waratahs Women’s on International Women’s Day as the players wear the pink jerseys and we are immensely grateful we can support the Breast Cancer Foundation together.”

The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation is grateful to the NSW Waratahs Women and Knight Frank for providing the platform to raise funds and awareness of the charity.

Lynne Crookes OAM, Chair Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation said: “A huge thank you to Knight Frank for providing the Waratahs Women’s team with pink jerseys, proudly worn on Saturday, 8 March, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

“These special jerseys not only raise awareness but will also be auctioned off after the game, with all proceeds supporting one of the many vital initiatives of the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation.

“As we celebrate our 30th year, our mission remains the same: to increase breast cancer awareness and encourage more women to get regular screenings.

“Through our partnership with the NSW Waratahs, we have the opportunity to reach an even wider audience with lifesaving education.

“Be breast aware. Know your body. Early detection is vital.

“If you notice any changes or have concerns, speak to your friends, family, or a healthcare professional—this message can save lives.

“Thank you again Knight Frank and NSW Waratahs and good luck to the NSW Waratahs Women this season.”
