National Pathways Manager Nic Henderson and Australia U16 head coach Tim Rapp have named a 25-man Australia U16s squad following the Super Rugby U16s season.

The squad will assemble in Blacktown on December 7, with the week-long camp ending with a clash with the NSW Waratahs U17s.

Cameron Blades and Paul Cividin will work alongside Rapp as assistant coaches for the Australia U16 program.

The champion NSW Waratahs enjoy the majority of selections, headlined by captain Justice Taumoepeau.

He is one of several NSW stars in the team, including Grand Final try-scorers Selesitino Mainakavika, Nicholas Kotarac and Creighton Meafou.

Queensland Reds captain and number eight Agapetos Lote-Felo has also been named after a powerful season.

Lote-Felo is joined by teammates Alfie Bowman, Visesio Kite and Hemi Rakuita.

Western Force duo Chase Bunce and Bareek Kleine-Deters Ausage have also been named alongside Melbourne Rebels star Halaliku Lauhingoa.

NSW Waratahs duo Flynn Farrell and Sam Polley alongside Rohan Nichol were unavailable for selection due to other Rugby commitments.

"The Super Rugby Men's U16 season which concluded last weekend showcased the impressive talent and potential we have coming through our development pathways across the country," Rapp said in a statement. "It's fantastic to reward some of the standout performers from that competition with selection in the Australia U16s.

"These players now have the opportunity to come together and continue their development and Rugby education while pulling on the gold jersey as an Australian representative.

"There are also many talented players who have missed out on selection on this occasion however we will continue to monitor their development as they step up into next age group."
