Australian Damon Murphy has been rewarded for his strong showing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, handed the gold medal match between Fiji and New Zealand.
Murphy was one of five Australians to be appointed as match officials for the tournament and has excelled across the competition.

It continues his remarkable transition into refereeing, having played for Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
After retiring he became a referee and in 2016 he made a rapid rise up the refereeing ranks as he forged his path in Queensland Premier Rugby and Australia's National Rugby Championship.
He has been a regular across the Sevens circuit, along with officiating across Super Rugby and the U20 Championships.
It marks his second major medal final, having taken charge of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Final, fittingly contested by the same two teams who will take part in the Final on Wednesday evening.
In July, Murphy was selected to officiate New Zealand's opening match against Tonga, however, COVID restrictions would leave him unable to reach NZ for the game.
He will be joined by fellow Australian Jordan Way, who is making his Olympics debut in Tokyo.
His appointment continues the remarkable run of appointments for Australian referees at the Olympics, with Amy Perrett taking the women's bronze match in 2016.
