The Chiefs and Rebels travelled to Leichhardt Oval to close out round four.

The Rebels' Round Five clash with the Crusaders has once again been moved to Sydney.

With restrictions still in play in Melbourne until at least June 10, the decision was made by SANZAAR, RA and NZR to ensure both sides could adequately prepare.

Originally slated for AAMI Park, the game has been shifted to Leichhardt Oval at 2:35pm (AEST) on Saturday, June 12.

“We are extremely disappointed for our members, partners and fans, who miss out on seeing our team come home for our final match, but understand the rationale behind the decision," Rebels CEO Baden Stephenson said in a statement.

"The team has shown plenty of resilience as we have been on the road for 21 weeks over the last 11 months due to COVID-19.

"We thank them for their continued sacrifice that they have made for the integrity of the competition and want to acknowledge the unbelievable loyal support from the Victorian community that our Club has received during this challenging time.

"I know the team are desperate to make everyone back in Melbourne proud.”

A bit of magic from Gordon brings the Rebels back into it.

Tickets will be available via Ticketek from Tuesday 10am with the game set to be broadcast LIVE and on-demand on Stan Sport.

The Rebels have played their last two games at Leichhardt Oval after they were forced to leave the city on May 26 due to the spike in COVID cases.

Interim coach Kevin Foote told Rugby.com.au that whilst the move was tough, the side is getting used to their new base at Sydney Uni.

"At AAMI Park, we have a few limitations so Sydney Uni has been incredible for us," he said last week.

“We’ve got the meeting rooms right here so we can walk straight out onto the training field. All the facilities are really world-class so we really appreciate them having us.

“Just to have the guys together and transition quickly onto the field is huge for us and be punctual with our meetings. All the dead time we had now adds onto the legs so we’ve taken that out and put on it the field. The guys ran really well at training at a good intensity which just shows you the benefits.”
