Australia record an inspired comeback win in the third-place play-off at SVNS Hong Kong 2024

World Rugby have confirmed the first five events of the 2024-25 SVNS Series as the fallout following the Olympics continues.

The governing body has already announced the return of the Perth leg of the series, set for January 24-26.

Tickets to the Wallabies home 2024 Test fixtures are available here.

It will be the third event on the calendar as the competition kicks off in Dubai on November 30-December 1.

The Australian women are the defending champions at the Sevens Stadium, looking to continue their dominance.

This will be followed by a trip to Cape Town on December 7-8, where both Australian sides reached the Final.

Following Perth, the circuit will head to Canada as Sevens returns to Vancouver on February 21-23.

Hong Kong’s event has been locked in for March 28-30, set to potentially be played at the new Hong Kong Stadium.

Further details on the remaining legs will be confirmed in the coming weeks, including the location of the Final.

“We are pleased to be heading back to Perth to play host as part of the SVNS calendar in 2025 and following a strong season for both our Australian Men’s and Women’s Sevens teams this year,” Rugby Australia Director of High-Performance Peter Horne said in a statement.

“Perth continues to go from strength-to-strength as a Rugby city, as seen with the strong crowd expected for the Wallabies-Springboks clash on Saturday, and Western Australia will get behind our Rugby Sevens teams again on return to HBF Park in January.

“Rugby Sevens proved to be a global spectacle at the Paris Olympics and our teams will be hungrier than ever for another big season on the world stage at the end of this year and throughout 2025.”
