The Queensland Reds have moved quickly to tie down flyhalf Tom Lynagh, confirming he has re-signed with the club until the end of 2025.

The 19-year-old made his debut in the opening round of the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season, starting in the first three games for the Reds.

Lynagh made the move back to Queensland in 2021 after completing his schooling in England.

Having established himself as a playmaker of the future, Lynagh was excited to continue his development at Ballymore.

"I'm thrilled to be at staying at Ballymore for the next two years," he said in a statement.

"I'm learning plenty from the coaching staff and players at the Reds and have enjoyed getting a taste of Super Rugby so far this season.

"It's an exciting time in Queensland and Australian Rugby and I'm looking forward to being a part of it over the next few years."

The Reds were equally delighted to re-sign Lynagh, with the son of Wallabies great Michael likely to play an integral role in the Junior Wallabies set-up in 2023.

"Tom is held in very high regard at the club," Reds General Manager of Professional Rugby Sam Cordingley added

"Consider the resilience it takes as a 17-year to decide to move to the other side of the world, by yourself, to pursue your Rugby goals.

"He has certainly shown this season that he is going to carve his own path in Queensland and Australian Rugby."
