The All Blacks cruised to victory as they defeated the Wallabies at Optus Stadium

The Wallabies have announced their 2025 home Rugby Championship fixtures, with the Bledisloe Cup set to head to Perth.

The Wallabies will host the All Blacks on October 4 at Optus Stadium, the third time the fixtures have been held at the new stadium.

Both sides share a win each at the ground, with Australia's 47-26 victory in 2019 their largest over their trans-Tasman rivals before the Kiwis levelled the scores in 2021.

Before this, the Wallabies will return to Townsville for the first time since 2021 as they host Argentina on September 6.

On that day, the Australians were victors 27-8 over Los Pumas as part of a COVID-affected Rugby Championship.

The action will then head to Allianz Stadium a week later, a ground where the Wallabies have won two of their three encounters.

The Wallabies will head to South Africa to round out the Rugby Championship, with dates and venues yet to be confirmed.

“We’re pleased to be able to confirm the Wallabies Home Rugby Championship Test schedule for next year," CEO Phil Waugh said in a statement.

“We saw again this year the massive support for the game in Perth with over 58,000 supporters at Optus Stadium for the South Africa match and I’m sure we’ll see great interest when the Bledisloe Cup Test returns to Western Australia next year.

“To be able to return to Townsville demonstrates our commitment to making our national teams more accessible to more Australians and we look forward to returning to Sydney the following week for what’s always a strong supporter base for the Wallabies.

“Rugby Australia would like to thank our Principal Partner Cadbury, along with our other partners, including our broadcaster Stan and Nine for their ongoing commitment to our game. We’d also like to thank the State Government partners for their continued support in delivering world-class live events here in Australia.”

“The Bledisloe Cup is a much-loved sporting event with a track record of huge success in Perth, so we’re very excited to be bringing it back in 2025 in the midst of our golden decade of rugby," WA Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti added.

“Having this test match as the only Bledisloe Cup Test on Australian soil next year is a massive coup, and with the passion and enthusiasm rugby fans have for this event in particular, we’re expecting many of them to make the trip across the country to witness this spectacle.

“There’s so much happening for rugby union fans in WA with the HSBC SVNS returning for a second year in January, the Western Force set to play on home turf in the opening fixture of the highly anticipated 2025 British & Irish Lions tour, and of course the entire nation gearing up to host the Rugby World Cup in 2027.”
