The Western Force are delighted to confirm the signing of emerging Wallaroos prop Allana Sikimeti after a breakout 2024 season, joining ahead of the upcoming Japan tour and the 2025 Super Rugby Women’s season.

The 20-year-old prop has enjoyed a rapid rise in 2024 after making her Super W debut in Round 1, before a Wallaroos debut against Fiji in July.

Sikimeti will link up with the Force in Perth this week ahead of the women’s Japan tour, arriving out of the Wallaroos’ camp which has competed in WXV 2 in Cape Town over the past three weeks.

The Brisbane-born young prop’s breakout 2024 season came after she left the Queensland Reds for the ACT Brumbies, where she was handed her Super W debut in Round 1 by ex-Force back-rower Scott Fava.

Sikimeti played six games in the 2024 season and impressed enough to warrant her maiden Wallaroos call-up, before debuting off the bench against Fiji in Sydney only days after her 20th birthday.

Force women’s head coach Dylan Parsons was thrilled to sign Sikimeti to bolster the side’s front-row options with an exciting and promising young talent.

“Allana is in a targeted age profile with our recruitment strategy but also she has huge potential in her position in the front row,” Parsons said.

“She’s a modern front rower, who is dynamic with ball skills. We want to keep refining all the other parts that make her a really good prop. She’s an exciting prospect and has genuine opportunity for the World Cup in 2025.

“She is very young for a prop but it just shows she’s really been able to transfer some of her learnings over the last 12 months and grow from the Super W 2024 season.

“She’s a consistent member in Wallaroos camps and is now breaking into matchday squads as well. Part of our role, we want her to be a consistent Wallaroo. At 20, to do that is pretty exciting so early in her career.”

As a 20-year-old, Parsons sees big upside in Sikimeti with the Force in the long-term.

“Allana is part of the developing Wallaroos at the moment and she’s one who’ll be aiming for the 2025 World Cup, but also the 2029 World Cup,” Parsons said.

“One of our goals at the Force is to make sure we have a big group of Wallaroos in 2029 in that home World Cup.”

The selected Force women’s squad will fly out of Perth for Japan on Wednesday, ahead of three games to continue the side’s development and growth ahead of the 2025 Super W season.
