Cook Islands-born Ashley Marsters began playing rugby in Victoria when she was just six years old, inspired by watching her father compete.

She was named in the Wallaroos squad for the 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup in France and has been a mainstay ever since, featuring again in the 2021 World Cup.

Marsters is the most-capped player in Wallaroos history, surpassing Liz Patu with 34 caps against Scotland in WXV 2 in Cape Town, 2024, scoring the match-winning try in her milestone game.

Marsters has been versatile throughout her career as a flanker or hooker.
