Atasi Lafai is a Campbelltown product who started playing backyard footy at a young age alongside her brothers, including former NRL player Tim Lafai.

The proud Samoan has overcome major injury hurdles throughout her sporting journey. She's suffered two ACL injuries on top of a broken collarbone, major ankle surgery and a neck issue that threatened to end her career.

The Waratahs lock overcame a freak eye injury to be named player of the Super Rugby Women’s grand final in April, 2024, and later RUPA's player of the year.

She was a consistent mainstay in the Wallaroos squad and will be pushing for selection at a second Rugby World Cup in 2025.
