Darby Lancaster has bolted into the Wallabies with the same speed he showcases on the field.

Lancaster came through the Sevens pathway initially as he emerged as a breakout star on the world series.

However, his excellent U20 World Championship proved he can match it with the best in the longer format, signed by the Melbourne Rebels.

Lancaster stood out immediately, scoring on debut against the Waratahs before a hat-trick against the Highlanders announced the 21-year-old to the world.

With both gold jerseys calling him, Lancaster was picked by Joe Schmidt for the July series as one of 13 uncapped players
