Kahli Henwood has been around the program for several years as either a full-time or training member but was unable to crack a squad that changed little heading into the 2023-2024 season.

An injury left the Queensland product to seek further Rugby and a contract in Japan with Nagato Blue Angles alongside fellow Aussie development players Sophie Duff and Amahli Hala was the answer.

With injuries hitting the Aussie Sevens Women leading into the Olympics, Henwood became a travelling reserve in Paris and the unfortunate knee injury to Kaitlin Shave on Day 1 enabled Henwood to earn an Olympic debut.

She made her official World Series Sevens debut in the opening round of the 2024/2025 season.

Away from Rugby, Henwood is a qualified teacher and is currently studying psychology.
