Len Ikitau was born in Brisbane, Queensland but spent his younger footy years in New Zealand, before returning to Australia in 2012 to represent Brisbane Boys College. After taking up an opportunity with the Tuggeranong Vikings in the hope he would work his way up to the Brumbies, he would earn a call up to join the Australian U20 side for the World Championship in 2017. In 2019, he secured the spot he craved most in the Brumbies squad, making his debut against the Blues at GIO Stadium later that year. In 2021, he received his first call up for the Wallabies tour of France. Despite missing out on selection for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, also in France, Ikitau has since become an integral part of the national side. His performances on last year’s Spring Tour were widely hailed as world-class, where he provided the famous ‘Flickitau’ assist to Max Jorgensen to secure a 42-37 win against England at Twickenham.
