Liam Wright has worked his way back into the national set-up after emerging as a cornerstone of the Reds squad for the past six years.

Wright began his senior rugby career with Easts Tigers in Queensland, selected in the Australian Under-20 team in 2016 and 2017 for the World Championships in Italy and Georgia.

He was thrown into an Australian squad in 2-17 without playing a Super Rugby game for a clash with the Barbarians before going on the end of year tour with the squad as one of two development players.

Wright would debut for the Wallabies in 2019, playing five games before injuries derailed his career.

His combination with fellow Wallabies Harry Wilson and Fraser McReight has been integral to the Reds' success, stepping up as co-captain alongside Tate McDermott
