Lydia Kavoa

A powerful forward looking to earn her first cap, Lydia Kavoa has enjoyed a rapid rise in a short space of time. Born in New Zealand to Fijian and Tongan parents and raised in Sydney, Kavoa loved watching Rugby and rugby league, but grew up playing soccer. She joined the Navy as a 20-year-old and is now a leading Seaman in the Navy People Branch. It's in the Navy where she discovered her love of Rugby. She played for Navy in the ADF triservice competition at Ballymore Stadium and was named rookie of the year and female MVP despite only playing rugby for three months before joining the Brumbies.
