A talented player who stood out with Life West and comes from a rugby family, Naima Fuala'au impressed Men's Sevens coaches with his talented sense of the game during USA Rugby Club 7s Championships. Finding his way to the annual USA Rugby High Performance Camp in 2016, Fuala'au would eventually make his debut with the Men's Sevens on the HSBC World Sevens Series at the 2017 London Sevens, also spending time with the developmental Men's Falcons during their 2018 South American Tour.

Fuala'au would also earn Team USA honors during the 2019 PanAm Games in Lima, Peru and later the 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town. Fuala'au also coaches youth and development rugby outside of his playing commitments.

Naima jumped on to the Olympic scene after an amazing journey to the top, earning a spot on the Paris 2024 Team USA roster.
