Trilleen Pomare is one of the most capped players in the Wallaroos squad after making her debut for the Australian side at the 2017 Rugby World Cup against Ireland in Dublin.
The centre was born in Auckland, New Zealand, before she moved to Perth at a later age. She has been the ‘heart and soul’ of the Western Force since its Super Rugby Women's inception in 2018, captaining the club.
The proud Maori, who originally hailed from the Hokianga, said while everyone wants to be a ‘Black Fern’ in New Zealand, she feels honoured to be able to pull on the green and gold.
Away from rugby, Pomare is an Operations Manager at Komatsu Australia’s Distribution Centre in Welshpool.
