Michael Hooper continues to make an impact in Japan whilst Feleti Kaitu'u helped a major upset in the Top 14.

France

Former Wallabies hooker Feleti Katiu’u has carries Racing 92 to a stunning 36-31 victory over second-place Bordeaux.

Sitting 11th, Racing 92 secured the five point win thanks to a double from the hooker, scoring in either half to seal the crucial victory.

Fellow Australian Pete Samu had two line breaks and a try in defeat, with Adam Coleman subbed off after 41 minutes.

Irae Simone set up a try for Clermont in their 33-19 win over Will Skelton and La Rochelle.

It was Skelton’s first start since his red card last month, whilst Clermont were helped for a solid outing from Folau Fainga’a off the bench.

In other results, former Sevens star John Porch had eight tackle busts in a 20-all draw with Jake McIntyre’s USAP, who had three line break assists.

Meanwhile, in Division Two, Tom Ross crossed for Nice in a 48-24 defeat to Nevers, with Ryan McCauley getting bragging rights over former Force teammate Izack Rodda in a 63-7 thumping win for Valence over Provence.

Japan

Michael Hooper has continued to help Toyota Verblitz push out of the relegation battle with a trademark strong performance in a 29-17 win over Yokohama Canon Eagles.

Hooper had a pair of crucial turnovers and 16 tackles in the win over fellow Manly bred talent Matt Philip.

Bernard Foley was perfect with the boot as Kubota Spears secured a 33-5 win over Mitsubishi Sagamihara Dynaboars.

Marika Koroibete came off the bench for Saitama Wild Knights and quickly recorded a line break in the 54-26 win over Urayasu D-Rocks.

Tom Banks had a big game for Mie Honda Heat in a heavy defeat to Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo.

The former Wallaby had eight tackle busts, a try and two offloads in a 52-21 defeat, with a hat-trick to Shannon Frizell sealing the win for the ladder leaders.

In Division Two, Will Genia and Quade Cooper’s magic run for Kintetsu continues as they inspired them to a 33-5 win over Hino Red Dolphins.

Cooper set up a try as the pair made it three straight wins and four victories in their last five.

England

It was a tough week for the Australians in the Premiership as Northampton and Leicester struggled.

James Ramm, Josh Kemeny and Angus Scott-Young all started in the Saints’ 27-24 defeat to Sale.

Ramm tried to spark the Saints late with a line break in the final minute; however, he couldn’t get them over the line.

Scott-Young and Kemeny led the tackles with ten, with the former Reds also coming up with two steals.

Izaia Perese came off the bench for Leicester but went down 29-22 to Saracens.

Scott Sio was the lone Aussie to taste success, starting in Exeter’s late 17-15 win over Newcastle.
