Former Brumby Mack Hansen will make his Test debut for Ireland in their Six Nations opener against champions Wales on Saturday.
Hansen, who qualifies for Ireland through his mother, has been a breakout star for Connacht, coming into the side after injuries to Jacob Stockdale and James Lowe.
Coach Andy Farrell has named a relatively settled side as they look to extend their eight-game winning streak as Tadhg Beirne comes into the second-row for Iain Henderson.
Captain and fly-half Johnny Sexton will be partnered by his Leinster team-mate Jamison Gibson-Park in the halves, with Bundee Aki and Leinster's Garry Ringrose partnering in the centres.
Meanwhile, Welsh flyer Josh Adams has been shifted to the centres, set to line up at outside centre alongside Nick Tompkins.
Dan Bigger will skipper the side with Alun Wyn Jones still ruled out with injury.
In the second row, Will Rowlands returns to the starting line up alongside vice-captain Adam Beard, with Ryan Elias starting his fifth consecutive match for Wales at hooker alongside Wyn Jones and Tomas Francis in the front row.
