SMARTECH Super Rugby Women's 2025 Teams: All the team news for Round Five

Finals spots are up for grabs as SMARTECH Super Rugby Women's enters its final round of the regular season.

The ACT Brumbies need to win to keep their finals hopes alive, facing the NSW Waratahs in Canberra, who are hunting for the minor premiership.

On Sunday, the Western Force travel to Ballymore to take on the Queensland Reds, with the winner securing a home semi-final.

The Fijian Drua have the bye, with their spot in the semi-finals all but secured despite last week's defeat to the Force.

The ACT Brumbies' finals hopes have received a boost with Bienne Terita named on the wing.

Terita's inclusion sees Gabrielle Peterson shift to fullback, with Biola Dawa on the other wing.

Wallaroos prop Sally Fuesaina is a welcome return to the starting side, joined in the front-row by Tania Naden.

Meanwhile, the Waratahs have kept faith in the team that defeated the Queensland Reds, naming an unchanged starting side.

New Zealand import Anahera Hamahona is one of three fresh faces off the bench after last week's Penina Pasifika trial.

She is joined by Jayjay Taylor and Martha Harvey, with Harvey set for her first appearance of 2025.

Playmaker Arabella McKenzie will bring up her 25th cap for the Waratahs.

The Queensland Reds have made just two changes to the team that took down the ACT Brumbies last week.

Lock Veneta Teutau comes into the starting side, with former Wallaroo Sarah Riordan back at number eight after a week off.

As for the Force, front-rowers Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke and Megumi Takagi start in the front-row after injuries to Allana Sikimeti and Loretta Mailangi.

The injury issues have led to five-cap Wallaroo Madi Schuck being added to the 23 on an injury cover contract to face her old side.

Hannah Palelei and Wanneroo centre Ngamihi Monk are amongst the new faces on the bench.
